Just more fun than a barrel of monkeys.....

Interesting story on filing of false police reports and harassment.....

(CAREFUL with the above link: It has a very disturbing pornographic image, but I put this link up simply to display that one CAN fight back against harassment!!!!!)

......Oh joy!

Today, I get to pop down to Human Resources and advise them that a certain individual and her new sex partner are harassing me and sort of get them aware of what's going on (Lisa has attempted to telephone me at my former place of employ and fortunately has been screened out), show them E-mails and see if I can get any sort of protection from the police department (who also happen to reside in my building).

Always a LOT of fun, as it makes Human Resources think twice about what they did in hiring you ("....but, but, he didn't put on his resume that he had psychotic old women stalking him!").

.

What to do if your ever stuck in this sort of mess??

  • If somebody is making false police reports simply with the intent of embarrassing you and harassing you by having the police show up, have a speak with an Assistant District Attorney in your county of residence. This actually helps a great deal!

.

  • Document EVERYTHING! Public places where they knew you were and have gone to simply with the intent to harass you (bars, restaurants, etc.), print up and electronically save threatening E-Mails sent to you under "disposable" servers (e.g. - "sneakemail" or "E4ward"), statements from your former employers stating that said individual was barred from calling your workplace, threats made to you by their friends and family, and so forth. This very much comes in handy later. If you can show a pattern, usually the Assistant District Attorney will follow through with charges the next time she calls law enforcement on you and files another false police report ....though if the person resides out of state, and doesn't have much of a known criminal history, chances are they will follow through and file arrest papers, but most likely won't pay for deportation!

OK....my public service for the day has been completed!

Just a quik note: LOVE the pun! MSNBC.com's headline: "Ken Lay Dead." Too clever.....
